Top Personal Finance Apps in Oceania Q1 2025

In the first quarter of 2025, personal finance apps in Oceania showed varied performance across key metrics. This analysis, based on data from Sensor Tower, highlights the trends in weekly downloads, revenue, and active users for the top five apps.

WeMoney: Pay off debt faster experienced a peak in weekly revenue early in the quarter, reaching around $8.6K in mid-January. However, revenue gradually decreased to approximately $1.6K by the end of March. Downloads saw a significant drop from nearly 19.5K at the start of January to about 4.4K by the end of the quarter. Active users fluctuated, peaking at around 75K in mid-January before settling at approximately 69.7K.

For Splitwise, revenue showed a slight decrease over the quarter, starting at $3.5K and ending at $2.6K. Weekly downloads remained relatively stable, averaging around 7K, with a slight peak in late February at 8.1K. Active users maintained a strong presence, averaging around 170K throughout the quarter.

YNAB saw a modest increase in revenue, peaking at $3.6K in late January, before stabilizing around $2.8K by the end of March. Downloads started at 2.1K and decreased to around 876 by the end of the quarter. The active user count was fairly stable, with a slight increase in late February to 8.3K, before ending at 6.2K.

Spendi showed steady revenue gains, reaching a high of $2.5K in late January. Downloads, however, declined from 1K at the beginning of the quarter to 458 by the end of March. No active user data was available for this app.

Lastly, Crunchr – Receipt Saver App maintained a consistent revenue stream, with minor fluctuations around $1.2K to $2K. Downloads were low but stable, starting at 112 and slightly increasing to 180 by the end of March. Active user data was not available.
